Throwing Ron Paul Under a Bus By Curtis Patranella From long before the election season even started, everyone in the media, including talk radio, has tried to coronate Rudy Giuliani, John McCain, Hillary Clinton, and Barack Obama as the top Presidential candidates. As time has passed, the media, the RNC, and the DNC has included names such as Mitt Romney, John Edwards, Fred Thompson, and Newt Gingrich to the list. At the same time, they have tried to dismiss or exclude so-called "second tier" candidates... especially Ron Paul. Most media outlets and "major news" organizations have done their best to either ignore, overlook, or dismiss Ron Paul. Polls asking about Candidate preference purposely leave Paul off. Questionnaires and interviews have been silent about Paul. As pressure began to come from Paul supporters, and as polls began to show Paul support... even when he isn't on them; and when outrage began to bubble from people who smelled a scam, the media relented and decided to throw a bone Paul's way. Ron Paul then began to show up in late, late, late night interviews on TV. Radio devoted a few minutes as an aside to mention Paul-- always with the assurance that he doesn't have a hope in Hell of winning. Paul was included in two debates in which a vast majority of the questions and speaking time were devoted to the "big three" (Giuliani, McCain, and Romney) turning a shoulder to Paul in a dismissive manner. When questions were aimed at Paul, they were usually in the form of an attack "Why are you running as a REPUBLICAN?" "Can you tell me why ALL the other candidates are WRONG?" "Are you saying we should get rid of HOMELAND SECURITY during A TIME OF WAR?" Even through all of the dismissiveness, Paul managed to intrigue people. Paul began to speak to the true conservatives that believe they have no choice among the coronated Candidates thrust in their face. Because of Paul's denting of the armor of the Status Quo, spin doctors began touting the "commanding performance" of one "top three" candidate or another. They stated that Paul only wins debate polls and text message polls because Libertarian Wackos are good "texters" or "diligent spammers"... or because Liberals plotted against "the big three". The media upped their rhetoric of "the big three" and refused to interview Paul, and stated that anyone who called in on his behalf were nothing more than rabid, lunatic, "kool aid" drinkers, that have lost touch with reality. Some talk radio even stated that Ron Paul supporters have a mental condition. Tuesday, May 15th in a debate in South Carolina Ron Paul stated that interventionist US Foreign Policy played a part in the events of 9-11. One of the moderators then (with a look like a deer in the headlights) asked "Are you suggesting America caused 9-11?" in which Paul told him NO, but that (once again) US interventionist policies played a large factor. Rudy Giuliani then took the opportunity to get a resounding sound bite by mischaracterizing what Paul said, blasting Paul for what he didn't say, and then alluding to Paul as some sort of 9-11 conspiracy theorist. After the debate, Hannity and Colmes interviewed every Candidate... Rudy first, giving ample time to each of the "big three". They saved Ron Paul for last... and not only did they not give him the same amount of time as anyone else, the "conservative" Hannity attacked him, and after asking him to clarify his responses... yelled over Paul so that Paul couldn't answer. In the rebroadcast of the debates, Paul's "interview" was cut entirely. The next day, I made a point of listening to Hannity's radio show. I also scoured the web looking for information, analysis, etc. I listened to other so-called "conservative" radio shows. This is what I have found. Hannity made it a point to say that Paul was a nut, and that what he said was despicable. He then stated that Paul needed to go. Hannity then, contrary to normal practices, took NO calls the first hour and a half to two hours of his show. He then interviewed Mitt Romney, and proceeded to take calls. No Calls were about Paul. I find it hard to believe, after the big deal that was made about what Paul did (and didn't say); and after Hannity ranted on and on about it, that NO ONE wanted to talk about it. The consensus of most talk radio, "major" media, etc. is not only that Ron Paul "couldn't have" truly received the text votes he got... but that he should drop out of the race, or be barred from further debates, or (in a couple of instances I heard) should be REMOVED as a Congressman! Here is where the real problem lies... Ron Paul is an enemy to the Status Quo. He is the enemy of the planned future of the US. He is an enemy to the goals of globalist, Marxists, and their ilk. Don't you find it "interesting" that "conservative" talk shows are touting Rudy Giuliani, John McCain, and/or Mitt Romney as being the best candidate for the Republican ticket? Think about that for a minute... Giuliani is a LIBERAL, McCain is a LIBERAL, Romney is a LIBERAL; they represent beliefs and practices which are the bane of Conservative ideology. Why then are they being touted as the best candidates for the Republican ticket? This is why... US Presidential elections are an illusion of freedom. Actually most US elections (particularly upper tier elections) are illusions of freedom. Every President has been either a CFR member or a close associate of the CFR. Most Cabinet positions go to CFR members. This is not a coincidence. Rudy Giuliani is a member of the CFR; John McCain is a member of the CFR; Mitt Romney is a member of the CFR; Other Candidates (and potential Candidates) such as Newt Gingrich, Fred Thompson, Sam Brownback, Jim Gilmore, and Tommy Thompson, as well as Democrats Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, John Edwards... all CFR Members. Ron Paul is NOT a member of the CFR. Ron Paul despises the CFR. You are all aware of what the CFR is and what it stands for. That is why Ron Paul is getting thrown under a bus. If he ends up rising up above it and becoming a threat to the anointed candidates, don't be surprised if he ends up "committing suicide", becoming involved in a "scandal", having a "heart attack", or meeting some other undesired fate. If throwing him under a bus doesn't get him out of the race (i.e. Catagorizing him as an Anti-American lunatic), the CFR architects and drones will find another way. Which brings me back to the illusion of freedom... if your choice for President really boils down to which CFR member you want, do you really have a choice? |
