Fetal Homicide ? By Joe Gresham A short while back, our "fine conservative governor"Mr. Fletcher pulled a stunt that had many Christians and other conservatives cheering. He signed a bill (the Kentucky Fetal Homicide Act ) into law that recognized an unborn child as a person, and established the criminality of killing that child. At first, that sounds like it would criminalize abortion, and it drew much praise from the "conservative crowd". The fact of the matter however is, that it does no such thing! What it does do, is: make it so that if the average man by accident or intent causes the death of an unborn child, he's responsible criminally. Now, if you were to have an auto accident, you screwed up, it's your fault, you can't deny it. If there is a pregnant woman involved in the accident, and if she miscarries, and they can by "hook or crook" blame it on your accident.YOU ARE A CRIMINAL! Though purely accidental, and obviously no premeditation or intent, you're still a criminal. Now don't forget we already had laws on the books that made you financially responsible for such injury, including pain and suffering. And in the case of reckless driving or driving under the influence, etc. you could face additional charges, possibly criminal. Much like the "hate crimes laws," this is a duplicity of charges to increase litigation, increase the number of people who are criminals, and are deprived of their rights. Just a more massive, all encompassing web, another layer of "legal effluence" in which to entangle and ensnare the common man. Built into this bill is a nice little loophole for the protection of those who profit from the murder of the unborn, the doctors who perform abortions. It seems as though there is an exclusionary clause which places them above the law. These profiteering murderers are not held to the same standards as the "common Joe", their murders are perfectly legal, while your mistake is criminal. They are literally "above the law". While I'm not sure what his area of practice is, "our" governor IS a doctor, and I'm sure a bunch of those abortion doctors probably belong to the same country clubs he does, and attended many of the same AMA conventions, etc. as Governor Fletcher. I guess it's just coincidence, that he signed that bill. I wonder how much money was donated to his campaign fund from the medical community? All rights reserved.
